We can work together on a commissioned artwork or you can order limited-edition prints of any of my drawings. Each print is printed on your choice of paper (hot pressed, cold pressed or art canvas paper) with care and attention to detail and looks very much like an original drawing. All individual prints are signed, dated, and numbered on the back and include a Certificate of Authenticity. For more information on types of paper please read below.
Please note that all rights to original art images are retained by Sheikin, LLC. Images should not be reproduced or redistributed. Also, be aware that differences in monitor settings can cause slight variations in the actual color of the artwork. We try to match the colors as closely as possible for display.
Art canvas paper is the perfect medium for the digital reproduction of colored pencil drawings. Nylon coated paper, it is designed for use with all color inkjet printers and is 100% acid free for archivability. Its surface structure reveals the canvas pattern of the mould, adding a unique aesthetic for realistic fine art reproductions.

"...an amazing reflection of the universe as seen through the eyes of a talented person..."
Oleg began to draw in 1994 and has continued to this day. In his eyes, his drawing has never been art; it is an expression, a reading of the world as I see it. Many have been unable to understand that this is another language; some have even compared it to Metaphysical Art. Whatever the label, he draws a visual representation of the energy around him. These energies may come from a season, a person, or perhaps even someone who once lived.
Many ask why he draws this way and how it is done; he always responds that he simply cannot answer plainly, except to say that this is how he feels and sees the world around him. He explains: "There are times when I believe it is a gift - for example, when someone asks me to draw them and help through a troubled time, I can sometimes see things that they cannot. Other times, it feels more like a curse, as I do not know what it is that I will draw until I pick up the pencil and begin to travel through the energy."
Oleg doesn't generally plan his drawings in advance. When an idea comes to him, he allows it to percolate anywhere for a few days to a month before getting to work. He has special pencils which he uses only and specifically for his drawings. When he is preparing to begin, he sharpens all of them by hand, using the process of sharpening to clear his mind. He then arranges his pencils, grouped by color, and begins to put away those he senses he will not use, though at this point he does not yet have a clear idea of what he will be drawing. He then concentrates on mental clarity and prepares himself to draw.
To begin, Oleg selects whichever pencil feels right, and begins to draw. He works in the moment, having no true concept of how far any given line will go or what shape it will take. He switches pencils when it feels right to do so, drawing more by sense than by sight. Eventually, the drawing takes form, though he does not see or comprehend the whole picture until he has finished. He draws until the piece feels done, then puts it away in a folder and finally allows his own exhaustion to overtake him. He sleeps, then leaves the drawing in its folder for several days at a minimum. Once he feels prepared to do so, he opens the folder and finally takes in the drawing in its entirety.
Eventually, Oleg is able to speak about his work. As an example, if he has drawn someone, he will invite them to look at the drawing and explain what he feels and sees, based on color, form, and other factors. On occasion, of course, he simply draws studies on someone or something that catches his interest, carrying around potential ideas at the back of his mind until the moment inspiration strikes. Periodically, someone may come to him with a question, and he may be inspired to draw a response - not quite an answer in the traditional sense, but rather the situation as he feels it. He can then explain the work to the person whose question inspired it, potentially aiding them in making a decision.

"Oleg's expressive and whimsical drawings are continuous lines drawn without lifting a pen until the thought is completed. All his drawings are carefully choreographed mental pictures, which could never be seen unless composed and preserved on paper."
